I received this for an atypical application - cooling a hard drive that might fail. I have an old 3 1/2 inch hard drive with some important information that hasn't been fully copied yet. hot so I turned them off until I found a way to cool them down. This came in the form of an old CPU fan and heatsink that I rubber banded to the drive and a pea-sized bead of that heatsink grease to help draw heat away from the drive. Control the heat and let me back up my data before the drive fails completely. It's always nice to have some on hand when the CPU or fan needs some TLC. There should be enough left over for the next emergency repair!
