This is a well-made pair of winter boots. SilentCare has done a nice job of striking a good balance between utility and weight of the boots.They are good-looking, comfortable, and warm. The fit is pretty good, but I do think they run just a little bit large. If you're planning to order these, you will want to note that there is a very good sizing reference included by the seller if you scroll through the images on the page -- you definitely want to pay attention to that. By the way, in case you prefer this, I can comfortably tuck my jeans inside the boots and zip them up. My jeans also easily fit over them and certainly snow pants would too.Tonight I walked a little over a mile wearing them, and here are a few more observations: As mentioned above, these are light boots, they don't weigh down my feet like my more serious winter boots. I did not feel encumbered by wearing them. Also, I really like the fleece lining. It kept my feet toasty warm. The soles are perfect for their intended use: Walks in the snow, tubing, and shoveling the driveway. My walk tonight was on dry pavement, and I can report that they are fine for that too.
