I used to have another brand and in my case it didn't work properly, every time my kids walked or jumped I had to go down and adjust the projector to align the image on the screen (both with and without the extender, the image was always out of range). It is easy to install and can be attached to ceiling joists with two screws. This goes up to 9 inches below your ceiling, not sure if you can buy an extension cord (in my case 9 inches was perfect for me). The projector is installed (in the basement) under my living room, although most of the time there is movement there, shaking or moving, you can see minimal movement when watching a movie. This is a highly recommended product for anyone who needs to install a projector without an extension cord.
