AMER Projector Mount - Universal Ceiling Bracket LCD DLP Tilt 360° Swivel 30Lbs (Silver) Review

I installed these Amer projector mounting brackets for 6 years and worked in IT support in a school district. Not only are Amer units easier to install than others, but you can adjust the projector (perpendicular to the wall, height, etc.) or remove the projector (for cleaning or replacement) with a simple universal joint and Allen key! I bought this to wall mount the projector in our new house and I have every reason to believe it works as well as I expected! Highly recommended!

I chose this mount for my Benq 3550 mainly because I needed the (advertised) 8.6" spacing to stand up without correcting keystone distortion to fit my screen. We placed it in our call center and installed it in a standard 2ft x 2ft square soundproof screen, tiles with no problems. I used lever bolts instead of the supplied bolts ($3 from Lowe's). The original projectors we ordered from Revain were too underpowered to work with our lights so I replaced them with high quality full size Panasonic projectors and I had no problem getting them to work with these mounts, and she had a weird way of montage to encourage you to buy. I used to have another brand and in my case it didn't work properly, every time my kids walked or jumped I had to go down and adjust the projector to align the image on the screen (both with and without the extender, the image was always out of range). It is easy to install and can be attached to ceiling joists with two screws. Update 6/11/18: Thing has come in handy for me, but it's time to say goodbye. I upgraded my projector over the weekend and unfortunately this mount will not fit the new larger projector. I also downgraded a star as my attempt to contact Amer to inquire about acquiring new support weapons/equipment was not as successful as I would have liked. However, the hardware is solid.
