Review on πŸ’‘ Quirky Pivot Power 6 Outlet Flexible Surge Protector Power Strip (Black): Amp up your electrical convenience! by Dennis Wood

Absolutely Dangerous

It seemed like a great idea and I ended up buying three of these but one of them had most of the outlets stop working fairly early on which I didn't notice at first because one outlet was still working and had to return at this point when it seemed too late. I kept it because I was thinking about getting it back, but then I got distracted by other things and forgot about it. I later mistook this pivot for one of the others, and when I tried to use it with a lamp, not only did the lamp's light flicker, but the pivot made something like hissing and popping, which was pretty scary. . I turned it off with the rubber grip on my kitchen appliance, unplugged it and have no intention of using it again. Update: A few months later on 12th August 2016 passed and the second one has now failed, the one I placed where the first failed one was used. At first I thought something was wrong with my Ottlite lamp as the lamp started flickering very badly and then it failed completely. However, it wasn't the lamp or the lightbulb that was the problem, but this chic socket had failed again. So far, the two places you plug things into don't work anymore. I just ordered another replacement Belkin 7 outlet surge protector as I had to do previously. The Belkins I've had since 2012 still work great. I expect to have to replace the third failed outlet much sooner, and when I do I'll get another Belkin. Including taxes, I probably spent about $100 on this fancy waste of money and I will never buy again.
