Review on Tom's of Maine Natural Strength Aluminum-Free Deodorant for Men, Rugged Coast, 2 oz. 3-Pack (Packaging May Vary) by Stephanie Deatrioski

As a longtime customer of Tom's of Maine, I'm excited that they are introducing even more new products that compete head-to-head with their non-natural counterparts. In the past, natural-based deodorants without aluminum and parabens had very limited protection and little protection. This is of course not the case here. I would rate it as one of the best deodorants I've found and it's similar to Axe but without the really bad ingredients. I needed a deodorant that I didn't have to keep reapplying as my skin is sensitive to too much product. It protected me and kept me from smelling for 24 hours. I've noticed that it's advertised as 48 hour protection, but I can't imagine not showering that long, so I don't know if that's true or not. The scent of this "Rugged Coast" is pleasant and modern. Slightly sweet, with hints of bubblegum mixed with a spicy taste. Not in a bad way, but surprisingly it wasn't "green" like many other natural deodorants. It's a nice change that reminds me of a cross between CK Be and Cool Water. Quite pleasant but not intrusive. Doesn't leave marks or crumble like other cakes, so that's a big plus too. A+UPDATE: *2 months later: The odor prevention usually lasts about 10 hours. It definitely doesn't protect against odors anymore. I had to reapply it but if you shower 2-3 times a day you should be fine. The label statement "odor protection for 48 hours" is wrong by about 38 hours. However, it does not contain aluminum. I've used Native and found it holds odors for a good 14 hours, but it's also more than twice the price.
