With most new socks, it seems understandable that you will sacrifice quality for a fun design. Not so with these from SockGuy. In fact, they are designed as athletic socks with moisture-wicking properties. I have previously purchased two pairs of these socks - a crash test dummy and a midget sock - and was very pleasantly surprised to discover that it wasn't just a crappy cheap sock. I have now added these breakfast socks for my 19 year old bacon lover who is a long distance runner and mountain biker. And now he doesn't have to wear old, boring socks to train and compete in his favorite sports. These socks seem to hold up to the same stress as many other brands of running socks; although they wear out faster in the heel area than those with reinforced heels. They wash well, although one of the crash-tested dummy socks appears to have been tragically lost in the dryer.
