Review on πŸ“» JENSEN MR-550 Portable AM/FM Radio with Auxiliary Line-in by Russ Montgomery

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ideal for trips to the cinema or camping.

This radio is much smaller than I thought. (The sizes listed are correct, I just didn't read them!) I bought this to throw in my car when I go to the cinema and it's the perfect size. It has a nice retro feel so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in my vintage cars (which don't have working radios!). It would also be good in the shed, garage, kitchen or campsite. It has an aux jack but no aux cable. However, it does have a power cord that fits neatly into the back of the radio. There's even a small slot to thread the cord through while leaving the back panel attached to the radio. It also accepts 4C batteries just in case you're not near an outlet. There is a small antenna that unfolds or tucks into the radio when not in use. I love that it has a switch to toggle between AM and FM. The speaker volume increases quite loudly considering the size of the radio. The only thing I see wrong about this product is that I feel like it should be a little cheaper (maybe $10-15 max). All in all, it fully meets my requirements.

Pros
  • Power supply: 120 VAC, 60 Hz or 4 C batteries (UM-2) (not included)
Cons
  • Everything is fine
