Review on BONECO Steam Humidifier S200 Cleaning by Heather Johnson

Update: My humidifier stopped working after a year, despite following the cleaning instructions to the penny. At first they promised to replace it but after 2 months they said they only offered to fix it despite clear documentation indicating they would replace it. I found out about this when they called the repair center and said they couldn't find anything wrong with the unit. I expected more from them. I have had several warm mist or steam humidifiers. They were all painful to clean. The self-cleaning system makes my life a lot easier. Whether it costs money is still unclear. I also use the Holmes warm mist humidifier that I sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $30. It hurts to clean but for the price I could clean it less often and buy a new one every few years but I hate being wasteful. Please note: you will need to purchase additional cleaning products and a descaling pad once or twice a year. Like many steam humidifiers, it gurgles softly. We hardly notice it, but if it bothers you, there are silent options. But they are usually painful to clean.
