BONECO Steam Humidifier S200 Cleaning Review

I bought this for my kids room and immediately returned it for 2 main reasons. 1) The light is very bright and cannot be turned off. I had another humidifier that I just covered with a shade, but in this case the light surrounds the dial, so there's no real way to cover it up without obscuring the dial. 2) The tank is so small that it didn't last the whole night. The block showed excellent humidity very quickly and I liked that no filters were needed. The styling was also nicer than most units.

I've been using it for 3 years now, I'm still surprised by all the negative reviews. All I can say is if it doesn't work for you then you have a bad one and the manufacturer should replace it with a new one. Because when I'm working properly, like I've always done, this is the best device I've ever had. Update: My humidifier stopped working after a year, despite following the cleaning instructions to the penny. At first they promised to replace it but after 2 months they said they only offered to fix it despite clear documentation indicating they would replace it. Today's humidifier market is dominated by inferior Asian-made ultrasonic devices. While cheap and probably healthier than previously known evaporative models, I don't think ultrasonic models are healthy. Definitely moisturize. In fact, they rehydrate very quickly. They also release minerals into the air (especially if you have hard water) which you then inhale and fall on everything as a fine dust.
