The hot wire for most users of this light (vans, trailers, truck marker lights) should be routed through a hole in the center of the rear panel. but it comes through the hole in the corner. Of course, your mileage will vary, but if you're replacing existing broken headlights, this is the case. If you install new ones, it doesn't matter. However, it didn't take much to quickly drill a hole in the plastic backplane with my cordless drill and slide the wire to where I needed it. It only took a few minutes to set up each light. I would buy it again but I think people should be aware that you may need to modify a fresh hole backplane to get the wire where you need it.
