Recommended for 100 gallons, 7 fish, feeding twice a week

First time working. I've heard that the skimmer takes some time to break down, but in my situation it works the first time. Every aquarium is unique, try to adjust the skimmer if you need it. (105 frag waterbox) I have currently shut down the skimmer for 3 weeks due to 0 nitrate and 1ppm phosphate (learn why, fairly easy answer) nitrite.
