This is junk. I could stop here, but let me explain. I thought all these chopper things were built the same. Before that I used a "spoiled chef" chopper which worked fine as advertised. So I got this version from Smartworks which was way cheaper. You get what you pay for. 1) This one didn't have spinning blades. 2) There was a thin opaque piece of plastic that I had no idea where it went. Oh I put it where I thought it would be and then it fell off as soon as I started chopping. I think it was meant to keep the blades clean, but all it took to get behind it made cleaning the blades even more difficult. 3) It's made of cheap thin plastic. It didn't break after using it 2 times but I didn't expect it to last too long. The spoiled cooking chopper I used actually had chips in the plastic, but it still worked. 4) The thing fell apart. Yes I know it has to come apart to clean but what I mean is the plunger handle fell out causing the spring to fly out. In general, I'm a forgiving consumer, but after using this thing twice, I just threw it in the trash and have never looked back. So far I've been using a regular knife and cutting board, but that's better than this thing. Oh, and I've never used a small cheese grater before. probably too bad.
