Review on Hobby Stars Fidget for Autistic Infinity by Tom Reid

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fun for the price: Fidget multi-piece toy sets

The quality of these toys is top-notch, but that's to be expected given the low price. I kept some of the toys to myself so I wouldn't be distracted on long conference calls at work, and gave the rest to my kids. My Favorites: Wacky Tracks - more fun when combined into one long track! Loud clicking sounds may not be appropriate in a shared office. Stretchy String is more fun than I expected! Easily stretches from hand to hand with your arms outstretched! Infinity Cube - Good for mindless, repetitive movements. Might be a little big for kids to operate with one hand. Flippy Chain is my favorite toy for mindless, repetitive, one-handed fidgeting. It's like a bunch of little soft balls inside a big soft ball. Squeeze, watch all the little balls fill the bubbles, drop them back into the grid or slide them through with your fingers. It also makes squelch noises. The liquid motion timer is fun and can be a good "desk toy" for the office. Mochi Squishy Animals is a fun texture to squish and wriggle around. However, the paint peels off immediately! I got 3 pandas which white base was half covered with black paint. After a few presses, the black paint was peeling off everywhere! I also got 2 green bears(?) which were the same shape as pandas but had less paint to peel off (just paint dots on the eyes, nose and ears). I've included a picture of pandas in various stages of color loss after just a few days. The rest: marble and mesh - plastic mesh, like fishing line. Neither I nor my children liked them. The puzzle ball is very cheap plastic. It's good to make a decision once or twice and then it loses its appeal. Squeeze Foam Basketball and Soccer - Your simple little foam ball. Not as durable as what I would call a "stress ball" but good for kids to play with. Heart Maze Puzzle - If you look VERY closely you will see numbers and arrows showing how the ball "should" follow the path. . But you can hardly see them and in any case it is difficult to keep the ball in the lane. The Magic Cube is smaller and lighter than a branded toy, but works perfectly. Do any of my decals look like they have grease stains? Soybeans - broke on the first day. Not as nice "pop" as I expected. Although my kids think it's funny, a bean has a face. Slime - beautiful colors, kids love it. My kids will probably use them. Overall the price is quite low but worth it if you like some of the toys! UPDATE: The grape orb burst right after posting this review. Little slimy balls everywhere! I didn't expect this toy to last forever but I was hoping it would last more than 12 days!
