Review on πŸͺŸ G Greenfilm Static Cling Window Tint 70% - Easy DIY Home and Residential Window Film (36" X 82") - No Glue, Hassle-free Installation by Angie Love

Good soundproofing

We have a 1955 house with original double glazed windows (mostly). 2 windows in the living room and hallway must have their center panes broken as they have been replaced with plate glass, the largest of which is 50" x 72". In order to stop heat transfer into our house before I invest in replacing all the windows I decided to try this film. The largest flat glass was the most difficult to use. The rest went great and I was done in 2 days (although I would have been done in 1 if I had worked smarter instead of harder). Suggestions: Don't bother with their install kit unless you need a tint (we didn't). Ignore the instructions to cut it MORE and trim it with a razor blade. Cut it slightly smaller (about 1/4 to 1/2 inch) so you don't have to trim off the "excess". as far as possible from top to center and start squeegee application. Before applying, thoroughly clean the glass by scraping with a razor anything the glass cleaner won't remove. Apply the foil with a squeegee and reassemble from the center about an hour later. My windows are only slightly blurry (actually looks like old glass) with no bubbles. My A/C runs MUCH less in our current heat. It really helps improve insulation and I've just ordered 2 more of the largest rolls for more at home.
