Review on Neoteck 8-Way Coax Cable Splitter MoCA 5-2500MHz, Coaxial Splitter by Darrell Kiley

Revainrating 1 out of 5

First one was DOA, replacement provided me poor bandwidth when compared to my old non-MoCA splitter

Had two of these and both were defective. Looking to go to another brand. The first one I received introduced a ton of noise on my coax line and caused my modem to show thousands of uncorrected packets within five minutes of install. The replacement I received didn’t cause uncorrected packets but severly limited my bandwidth. I ran a speed test on my old non-MoCA splitter (that my ISP provided) and had a 12ms ping, 356 Mbps down, and 64 Mbps up. After I installed this splitter I ran a test and found a 35ms ping, 86 Mbps down, and 0.76 Mbps up. To ensure there wasn’t something going on with my ISP I installed the old splitter and my ping, download, and upload bandwidth immediately returned to the original speeds. Just to be sure I swapped out the new splitter again and saw the same slower behavior. I cannot recommend this product.
