Based on a large number of purchases and good reviews I bought this instead of another Goliath as before but it turned out to be a bad buy. If my mouse pad stinks, it's poorly made and I've been scammed. So two stars deducted for that. This rug lost a third star because it slides across my desk with normal use. There are two obvious reasons why it shifts: 1) The rug comes rolled up tightly, but when unfolded it keeps its shape and is off the table; and 2) the backing is not sticky like any other mouse pad I've had. So the panel slides when I try to play. That's ridiculous. It really isn't good and drives me nuts every time I think about this purchase, constantly fueled by every foul-smelling breath I take while typing this. Why do so many of you put up with this? I call cheating.
