Much better than I expected

I was skeptical about these gloves. I was expecting bulky and uncomfortable gloves. Having used these gloves on various projects I have to admit I was very impressed. At first glance I assumed that these gloves were only suitable for handling chemicals. However, I have used them extensively on a major construction project - handling finished wood, driving screws - and all other common building tasks. At the end of the project I was very impressed: - The nitrile coating made it easier to work with wood. They not only protected my hands but also provided a non-slip grip. They are very flexible and allow you to use most of your fingers. While they don't quite look like flimsy latex gloves, they offer enough flexibility and the feel that you can hold a 2" screw to screw in with a drill. It might not seem like much, but try a pair of thick leather gloves. - They provided a fair amount of padding. This means that when swinging the hammer, they helped soften the blow. I wouldn't say it was tremendous cushioning, but the fact that it did it at all was impressive. - Dimensions. I usually wear XL gloves but the large ones easily conform to the shape of my hand. The "stretch" of the gloves also meant they fit my wife's much smaller hand. The only downside was that they got a bit hot after an hour or two. It's not unbearable, but as you'd expect, they don't breathe particularly well. In the end I was very impressed with the Showa 381 gloves. I would definitely order them again without hesitation! 5 Stars
