Review on πŸŽ’ Gray Kelty Eldora Daypack - Optimal Size for Versatile Use by Amy Meyer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far I love this pack!

Bought to replace an Ogio backpack I only have 2 years old - it's already falling apart. I purchased the Kelty Eldora from another site that currently has a large number of backpacks for sale. The only reason I didn't buy it here was that it was significantly cheaper there (less than $40). But that is beside the point. Let's get to the rating! I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't had it that long and while it seems pretty solid I want to try it out for a while before declaring my immortality, 5 star love. My first impression when I received this bag was that it was pretty light. I never carry a handbag, only a backpack, so a light bag is good. Second, I paid attention to the material. While it's not advertised as waterproof, it appears to provide enough rain protection for its contents. The front stretch pocket is advertised for storing a bike helmet - it definitely looks like it's big enough to hold it securely. , but I usually use this bag for my circular knitting machines (I knit on the train). It accommodates all but the largest machine with ease. The smaller of the two zippered compartments offers plenty of organizers for pens, ID cards and just about anything else you might need. I carry quite a few things in this bag including my phone and laptop chargers, wallet, first aid kit and other items. It holds a lot more than I thought without increasing the volume of the backpack. The side pockets are great and were one of my biggest draws - I use one for my water bottle and the other for my umbrella. . They are perfect for both purposes and the buckles on the sides of the backpack help keep my umbrella in place. not a slim girl and I can use both). Also, the chest strap has a whistle built into the buckle, which I didn't realize was an available feature on a backpack until I started looking for a new one. I hope I never have a reason to tease it for anything but people (and believe me, it makes a pretty nasty noise), but I'm glad it's in this backpack. There are two small zipped pockets, one on each. on the side over water bottle pockets. It's really helpful! I use one for my work ID and passport and the other for my headphones. They're also great for sunglasses or other items you don't want to throw away with the rest of your gear. The straps of this backpack are really well padded as is the back. In addition, there are channels in the back between the padding that ensure good air circulation. Finally, the main compartment of this backpack is shaped like a cave. It's really huge. It has a laptop sleeve (I usually use these for documents and my Galaxy Tab, but it's fine if I need to carry my laptop around) and then a large open space for everything. In addition, there is a removable piece of hard plastic between the laptop compartment and the back of the backpack. I'm not sure why you would want/should take it off, but you can if the mood lifts your spirits. Overall I am very happy with this backpack and hope to have it for many years to come!
