I love these tent poles, I gave them three for two reasons. The first thing I did when installing the battery was to fall apart. The switch itself came out once and the plastic battery backing came out a few times. Secondly, when used in tall grass, the light will be blocked and their use will be very limited. Another point I would like to share is that since they are touch activated you will have to remove the batteries every time you use them or they will turn on when you pack your tent. It's ok, but if you're going for a few nights and a different location each night, it can be an issue.
