I bought this because they advertised the possibility of wet salt. I used Celtic salt. Unfortunately, the salt gets stuck outside the grinder. I often have to knock the salt out of the shaker. The fresher the salt (i.e. the wetter), the worse it is. And even if you hit it, not all of the salt is released. They had to design the outlet on the outside of the mill so that it wasn't as narrow. Wet salt accumulates too easily. There are no problems with chopping peppers.
