Flexibility - When not at a desk you can still draw perfect lines as it moves with the sides. I did the whole layout lying on my stomach in bed, you don't even realize it. Also, the ink doesn't seem to flow under the ruler. I haven't tried using Sharpie markers though, this ink seems to bleed like crazy. Crystal clear - easy to use over existing layouts. It's thin and crunchy and maybe easy to lose, but the corners are sharp, so you'll know for sure when you find it. No wear and tear on the tips of your Staedtler fineliner pens! This seems like a long review of a basic ruler, but it's one of the best magazine rulers I've used. Let's see how durable it will be! :)
