Review on 📀 Pioneer DV-434 DVD Player: Cutting-Edge Entertainment Experience by Paul Zimmer

I bought this player after seeing a picture of a similar Toshiba unit with the progressive scan output turned on and off to compare the difference. The progressive scan output (available only when using the component video outputs) delivers a much more film-like picture; smoother and virtually no horizontal scan lines. Customize in expert mode allows you to customize the display and features to your liking. There is also a "Default" setting for beginners. I compared the picture from this Pioneer to my Panasonic A-310 and I have to say that even without using progressive scan, the Pioneer set delivered a clear picture with better overall quality, especially when displaying dimly lit scenes. Fantastic deal for the price of Revain (I paid $349 on sale!).
