The jack arrived earlier than expected and was securely packaged. The description says it weighs 26 pounds but it feels like it's heavier, it's really sturdy. The hardest part of the installation was lifting the caravan to remove the old LCI jack. It was a graveyard! Once that obstacle was overcome, the new Jack Quick moved on with ease. And it would have taken about half the time if my husband hadn't "helped out"! It's a lot quieter than the old jack and I can't complain about how quickly the trailer raises and lowers. Much better than turning by hand! The hand crank was there. I can't open the tailgate on my Ram truck, but the same thing happened with the old jack. So far I'm only giving 4 stars because the tongue mount is triangular (holes line up perfectly) and the socket mount is round so it sticks out a bit at the back, but I can live with that.
