I put my laptop on it and set it to the highest level. Screen height was good. To connect or disconnect cables, the laptop must be held against the stand (no big deal) The bar holding the laptop could be a bit bigger; My laptop just seems to fit and I'm a little afraid of it slipping off. I wouldn't try my 17" on it. In terms of width, I think the stand will fit, but I don't think the protrusion will be enough, especially given the curvature of the laptop's base.
