I use it to hold my key light for streaming. Although the attachment to the table is strong and the load on the key light is not very large, the stand can still sway significantly. In my case if I use it for a key light it's not really harmful for my use case but if you plan on using it with a camera don't worry. He will hesitate too long. The problem seems to be where the stand attaches to the clamp as there is a rivet attached to it resulting in a pivot that allows the stand to swing. In general, I would look elsewhere for a more stable stand.
