This dishwasher would make a great addition to our kitchen. I haven't had a dishwasher since I left home when I was 17, so I've wanted to get one for our house for a long time. When it appeared in the review, I grabbed it without looking at the dimensions. I'm very lucky - it JUST fits under our closets. Dishwasher works great for me. I've been using it almost every day for two weeks now with no problems. I leave the hose in the sink when not in use and I don't move the dishwasher between uses and I haven't had any leaks. There is always water in the hose and in the machine. So if you plan on moving your dishwasher (since it's technically portable), you're going to have water drips, even if you do your best to drain the hose in the sink. I have a feeling this is seeing some of the leak complaints but I can only speak from what I see and when it stands there is no accidental water. This is a good size car for our two person household. I can use it for a family of three, but if you have four or more people it probably won't be practical. The wash cycle takes one hour and 45 minutes. I don't know how it compares to other machines as this is the first time I've used a dishwasher in two decades. It seems like a very long time to me because I know I can wash three times as many dishes by hand in half that time, but I like using the dishwasher because I feel like it washes the dishes better and removed more germs than I could with soap and a sponge (which is notorious for harboring and spreading bacteria). I will update my review if anything goes wrong with the dishwasher. Now it works great and keeps our dishes clean.
