Review on IOWVOE 36 x 28 Inch LED Mirror: Wall Mounted Vanity Mirror with Anti-Fog, Adjustable Color Temperature, and Makeup Function - Vertical & Horizontal by Leslie Harris

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The lack of a plug, which is very inconvenient.

2 weeks ago I ordered this bathroom mirror which fogs up the current mirror horribly and is a bit darker so I wanted more light and anti-fog. I asked for help installing it and promised it wouldn't take long. My partner and I excitedly took it out of the box. I recently installed a very similar mirror, BBE Dimmable Bathroom Mirror with LED Lighting, Anti-Fog Vanity Mirror, Horizontal/Vertical Wall Mounted (40" x 24") in another bathroom with no problems and I've got a solid 4/ given 5 stars. I was expecting IOWVOE to show up in about 15 minutes. That was my first mistake. Upon unpacking, although I double and triple checked the description before ordering from IOWVOE, there was no plug. From the product page: 【Wall Switch Control】The mirror can be installed with plug or wire connection. I also noticed some wire crimping and a few imperfections on the back of the mirror (see photo). Now I'm not new to some amateur electrical work and don't usually shy away from hardwiring. Except that the bathroom I ordered this mirror for doesn't have electrical wiring on the mounting wall so I would have to drill some studs into the insulated outer wall, connect the corner and run the mirror's wire to the switch. (There is also no access to the attic). This wasn't a situation I wanted to put myself in because of the mirror I specifically checked to make sure I could plug it into a vertical wall. I emailed the IOWVOE seller and asked for a plugin to solve my problem. They responded quickly by offering me a $30 rebate which I withdrew and asked again to mail the connector. They quickly responded a second time and told me they "will arrange a $40 partial refund for you, you know you will be purchasing a very good fork and look forward to hearing from you." Well , that still hasn't solved my problem as it's hardly an honor to accept a discount on a mirror that I've been given as a gift. So I decided to go to Revain and find the tools needed to install the mirror I was going to use (second picture). The cost of the pliers, wire connectors and connector was $43.91. If you're paying attention, that's $3.91 more than the second discount offered by the seller and I still have the inconvenience of adjusting the wiring so I can use the mirror. Which I did and to be honest it only took about 20 minutes. I plugged it in and got power (first picture). I would love to hang this photo on my bathroom wall but now I have to wait for more help to hang it up. Overall, I expect the mirror to look great in my bathroom and I'm particularly pleased that it now has the POWER. Personally, I had better luck with the BBE LED mirror.
