Nothing But Trouble

Despite the generally good performance, this machine gave me nothing but trouble. The hardware initially worked fine, but almost since I've had it, the machine has been on a steep slope. The touchpad is terrible and seemed to warp for a while - the buttons were raised higher than when purchased and there was a noticeable gap between the buttons and the rest of the frame. This went on until then. . .- The lower part of the frame is now deformed and rounded noticeably, leaving a gap between the bottom plate and the rest of the frame. If I didn't know better, I'd say something inside the car expanded and opened up the frame. The bottom panel of the machine is now completely separated from the fully open side that faces the user. Squeezing creates noticeable resistance and makes me wonder how the interior of my car could be bigger than it was when I got it. The keyboard is finicky and only getting worse. The buttons sometimes double up when pressed once. - After some time - and that seems to have stopped - the screen suddenly went black and flickered randomly. - The machine is practically useless when running on battery power. On battery power, it turns off within 5-10 minutes without warning. It's not because the battery is dead either, as the machine will restart and keep running on backup power even without reconnecting. Basically, it completely breaks the laptop. Thermal management issues or just video streaming issues. Every time I play a streaming video (YouTube, Netflix, etc.), the fan spins to maximum speed. For a slot with such graphic prowess, video streaming should be a breeze and not require that much effort. It should have been a great car and a great buy, but I'd definitely like to return it. . Support was also of little help, essentially having to send in a computer to offer useful information. No one wants that level of buyer regret for such an expensive purchase. Drive past Aorus.
