I originally borrowed this name from my local library. Ten minutes later I realized what a gold mine this book was and rushed to Revain's website to find my own copy. It was a good move. This book is a keeper! From a discussion of fabrics, tailors and hooks, the book moves on to technology. It offers very large photos of each step of the carpet fixing process. If you're still learning the craft, you know how helpful it can be. There are samples and photos of many kinds of finished products; it is both helpful and inspirational. Product designs are explained and demonstrated, from cushions to wall hangings to standing snowmen. Is it a fashion book? no Is this a really really helpful book, learn the basics and start kicking the rugs right away? You bet.
