Review on Anker Thunderbolt Supports Charging Transfer by Charley Prz

Tried to connect the 2018 15" MBP to the Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box 350 using an Anker TB3 cable. Also on MacOS as well as Windows 10, this particular cable has trouble waking up the TB3 controller which is on the Sonnet box.The original cable that came in the Sonnet box was a bit short so we looked for both active ones as well as passive TB3 cables.As far as I know the anchor cable is a passive cable and this could be the reason for the inconsistent signals.I have another 6ft cable but it is a TB3 active cable and with This cable allows MBP to wake up the TB3 controller on the Sonnet box 100% of the time.With the Anker cable I need to power cycle the Sonnet eGFX box then it is properly connected to the onboard TB3 controller.
