Review on Premium Pellet Bituminous Activated Charcoal by Kevin Farmer

I have two different HEPA air purifiers and one of them uses the same charcoal in granular form in the charcoal filter stage as this 4mm granule so I bought one 5 lb bag to use as a spare. In addition to the HEPA filter and pre-sieve, my air purifier has a honeycomb filter filled with activated carbon granules. There is a fine mesh screen on either side of the filter to keep the pellets in place, so I removed one side, emptied the old charcoal, and then filled it with new pellets. I bought a roll of fiberglass window screen at a local orange and white hardware store and cut it to fit the filter to replace the screen I removed. These granules are perfect and do a great job of eliminating odors. We use our cleaners 24/7 to remove dust, dander and food/pet odors (we have a dog) and I can say they continue to do that with these new pellets as they work so well. what i noticed about the carbon filters on the air purifiers is that they don't last as long as the manufacturer says. Although in my experience this type of granular activated charcoal lasts much longer and eliminates odors much faster than leaf charcoal compared to leaf charcoal. Purchasing this replacement granular activated carbon allows me to replace the activated carbon without having to buy a new set of filters (filters only come as a set). All in all, these pellets are a great replacement and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
