issue fixed! I have 2 Hunter ceiling fans and both only run on speed 1 (low). The tail also didn't work properly. I just removed the bulb, unscrewed 3 screws, and the entire wiring harness is exposed. You simply unhook the wiring harness from the fan unit and can work on it on the floor. Cut out the old capacitor, strip the ends of the wires and connect the new capacitor's new wires with wire nuts. All wire colors matched so it was easy. This whole process took about 10 minutes per fan and cost me $10. All 3 speeds work, reverse also. My original capacitor was 300/250/250A and I was worried that this one (all 250A) wouldn't work, but another reviewer stated it was perfectly fine. Just match the numbers in farats (uF). The best money spent on time!
