Review on Convenient ThinOptics Flashcard Case with Rectangular Reading Glasses by Danny Trapanese

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Large size for the minimalist everyday.

A few years ago I switched from a bulky triple wallet to a minimalist one. One of the things I couldn't deal with was my bad eye and wearing reading glasses which only added to the bulk I lost with my wallet and stashing it in my front pocket for my glass case. Then I found a keychain version from Thin Optics that I've been using for a year. They were perfect for turning down the volume and for moments when I needed to read something. Well, as luck would have it, my key fob case broke and I needed a replacement. I found this credit card holder and it's almost perfect for my needs. Although it's a bit thicker than I expected (that's 4 credit card thicknesses, I've read 2), it fits perfectly in my Ridge wallet. If I had one complaint about the glass case, it used a rubberized coating on one side of the case which causes it to drag when removed/inserted into a wallet. As for the glasses, I can read menus, bottle labels and fine print on papers without being encumbered by a full-size reader. But understand that this is not a replacement for the full-size versions that sit on my desk, but rather an add-on for working from home or the office. I find them comfortable for short periods of use, but not for all day use which the full sized ones are good for.
