Looks like they sent me a returned item. It was written on the box that it is a recycled container because the original container was damaged in transit (3 days). However, the laces were tied in a bow and there was no packaging inside the shoes. Someone tried them on. I have bought several pairs of Brooks in the past and the laces were always tucked into the inside of the shoe and there was a cardboard insert or paper sleeve inside the shoe to hold the shape.
