It's fun to experiment with if you don't do a lot of wide-angle photography.
Fun to play with. If I ever need better quality I'll take a dedicated wide-angle lens, but I just wanted to try wide-angle night shots of stars and rows of trees against the moonlight. This is a great inexpensive experimentation lens that I can easily attach to the end of a standard kit lens.
