A bag full of broken nails.

Received a packet full of strips for chipped nails. A 2 pound paper box was mailed in an unlined paper envelope. What can go wrong?! Just lazy cheap packaging. I do not recommend.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Only available in white

High quality, great price.

Dewalt make high quality products, this nail pack is no different. Works best with Dewalt nail guns for which it was designed although I have not tried it with other nail guns.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

They DeWalt are good for sorting nails

Nothing to say but they work and 2500 for $9 is a very good deal! Since I only use them to hold things together until the glue dries and/or until I can get a permanent screw or attach to other hardware, they should last me quite a while.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Some problems

Excellent nails, packaging leftovers

The nails worked great. As per other reviews, the box was completely broken and the nails fell out. Almost unusable at the moment. For those that survived, they worked just as well as 16 gram finishing nails. We do not recommend buying them from Revain.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

You get stuck in Finish Nails

I was very disappointed. They glued before lining up with the hammer head attached to 2 NEW Dewalt DCN662 cordless nailers. You would think QC would be better since they are from the same company. I am now using Porter Cable Finishing nails and the nailer works as advertised. Be careful I may have just received a bad batch as I now found out.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Little things

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Minimal jamming, probably not the nail's fault

My second room is 3/4" hardwood and maybe a quarter of the way through this box (nailing only if I have to). I had less than 5 jams and this may be due to my cheap (albeit very inexpensive) nail gun and an absolute waste regulator on a 6 gallon Bostitch pump. If I run out of nails before I'm done I plan on buying those again.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • No instructions

The product was exactly what I wanted. However, the packaging was poor. The original packaging was torn and the lid of this original packaging was completely torn off. This allowed the entire contents to spill over the outer packaging and 1/3 of the rows of nails to fall apart rendering many of them unusable. It should be packed in a cardboard box with a seal.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • So far so good

NOT for outside, NOT galvanized, everything else is fine.

NOT galvanized. The packaging does NOT say for outdoor use. indoors only Revain sometimes omits this ball when changing products. To my knowledge, DeWalt changed that part number (perhaps to save money?) and it's no longer zinc plated. Or at least not enough for outdoor use as stated in the product description. I used SS stainless steel instead. I can use these nails in my interior projects. Dewalt is a good brand.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • all right

Best Finish Non-Galvanized Nails

Description - DeWalt DCS16150 1-1/2" 16 gauge finish nails are cold worked carbon steel and hot dip galvanized. a process that ensures each nail resists rust and moisture resists. These 1-1/2" 16 gauge nails are ideal for finishing and are packaged in quantities of 2,500. Not sure if DeWalt or Revain are to blame for the labeling confusion, but they must be saved for internal projects and purchased galvanized for future outdoor use.

Pros
  • Hands Free Work
Cons
  • Very Expensive
