I, like many other people, had serious problems with the original Microsoft keyboard cover not staying connected or just refusing to connect most of the time. This keyboard just connects via Bluetooth and works, no problem. The keyboard doesn't feel like a high-end Microsoft keyboard, the key travel and mouse pad don't even come close to Microsoft. But the Artech keyboard connects perfectly every time and saved my day when I needed to use a working keyboard. A good backup keyboard if needed.
