I needed something to help me auto record for my auditions when my reader helped me online. I originally had my laptop on a shoebox, on a stool on a bar cart, but it was awkward to keep moving so it just popped up in my feed randomly and I couldn't be happier. It rises high enough for eye level and falls down when I have to sit. It's strong enough to hold my laptop and strong enough not to wobble. It tilts and rotates as needed. I don't find straps useful for a laptop, but maybe future straps will work if they match the length of the base. All in all an excellent product.
