Great lamp for small spaces, mounting disc could be "stickier "

I am renting out a space with a small kitchen sink right under a large window. During the day it seems good to wash the dishes, but at night the light in the kitchen is not bright enough to see if the dishes are really clean. No bar to mount a clip light, no overhead mount, and this is not my home. That meant I wouldn't hire an electrician, so I didn't know how to light the sink. I searched all over the internet for Revain and then came across this Magnetic Mount Anywhere light. I measured and there is a tiny protrusion on the sill that is only 1/2 inch larger than the mounting washer and the cord easily reaches the sink outlet leaving room for spare. When the light came on, I carefully cleaned the area with alcohol for a "sticky" metal mounting washer using 3M double-sided tape. I glued the lamp to the flip-up disc, connected it and voila!, light on the sink instantly! However, there was a problem. The next morning I came into the kitchen and the lamp fell into the sink. The tape on the mounting disc wasn't strong enough to hold the gooseneck lamp over the sink. Solution: Two command bars. Command Picture Lanyard Strips, Medium, Pack of 3, 17201PM-OF Two adjacent strips are approximately the width of the magnetic disk. Using hot water and a sponge I removed the old tape from the disc, glued the command strips and now the light is stable and not going anywhere. So if, like me, you only have a flashlight target and need to use a mounting plate, this is the solution. I am very happy with my new light, now it is securely attached. Beautiful daylight color and lots of light makes me glad I didn't get a 30 LED bulb. UPDATE: After 6 months of heavy use when I use this light as a night light in the kitchen the LEDs are pretty dim. I would say around 50% of their original brightness. I'll look for a replacement, maybe a lighter one first so darkening isn't as noticeable.
