After severe posterior deltoid pinching my massage therapist told me to order 2 of these and use them for 2 weeks. I was hesitant to do this based on some of the feedback, but decided to give it a try. First of all, this product comes with detailed step-by-step instructions for use, which begins with the words "The customer's hand is next to the body". So no, it is not meant to be worn alone. (DO NOT tear off the whole paper at once! Follow the instructions!) Secondly, it comes with an alcohol pad to ensure your skin is not greasy when applied. I used two of these and applied them right after the shower. The first time we skipped the alcohol swab, the second time we used it. The first one was a little torn at the corners on day 4 but was still at 90% after 6 days. The second lasted longer so I have to assume folks with adhesion issues either didn't follow directions or were sticking to oily/sweaty skin. it, but as soon as I took it off the difference was obvious (much more strain on my shoulder when working without it). Overall, my shoulder has improved a lot after the massage and 2 weeks of taping. I would definitely order it again if I need it. (Bonus - the adhesive on this tape didn't irritate my skin as much as other brands - only slight irritation after 2 weeks of use.)
