I bought this discreet camera to monitor the back door of my house during the day. My intention was to see my back door while I was at work if my door sensor indicated it was open. When I tested this camera, I found that it records very clear video and has a sensitive microphone for sound recording. It looked well built, but the camera software was terrible. I downloaded the manufacturer's app to my Android smartphone to establish a WiFi connection to my home network. The app was very simple and showed very slow live video even when connected to my fast home network. When using the app, I got pop-up messages in Asian characters (Chinese?). I also got very annoying notifications that popped up every time it detected motion (which I couldn't ignore). So, the camera might have been ok, but the software application to use it was terrible. I ended up returning it for a full refund. After further research, I settled on the Wyze camera instead.
