Durable, pleasant to the touch. Well constructed with the right amount of friction in the ball. The movement is very slightly grungy (in contrast to the XB-44's oily smoothness) and may show some wear. It looks more like my XB-28. A single ball and swivel knob is precisely calibrated. First you get some ball friction with free pan, then balllocks and panlocks. This makes panoramic shots possible. You can adjust the ball's friction, but you'll need a 2.5mm allen wrench to do this. The clamp is small but quite strong. I tried this bullet with Fujifilm X-T30 and Nikon D810 with Sigma 35. Item No. Nikon is fine as long as the mass is reasonably balanced - this is not the right ball head for longer lenses without a collar. UPDATE: To extend its capabilities I've used this ball head a bit with my D810 and 70-200f2.8. It's really impressive, the bumps far outweigh its weight. Considering the clip alone sells for $25, that's not a bad price.
