UPDATE #2 - annual update: still looks as good as the day I installed it. Holds up well! UPDATE #1: No issues so far after being left out in the heat. Glitter really isn't that bad. The screen is still legible even with polarized sunglasses. If you're familiar with glass screen protectors for mobile devices or tablets, this article will look familiar. It's just a thin piece of glass that covers the entire surface of the audio system. We hope you protect your precious screen from scratches and the like. I have mounted goggles on several devices but this is the first time I have applied them to auto glass. I used my best practices for installation: give the screen a good clean, use tape along one edge (the top edge in this case) to hold the screen protector in place once it's properly aligned, and give the screen another good finish. Wipe dust, remove backing film, put on protective film and hope for the best! Some observations: No. 1 is dust, it is impossible to clean the screen from dust since the installation is carried out in a car. I wiped it off as best I could, but I also noticed that some of the fingerprint grease was basically "burned off". Not even an alcohol swab could remove it. #2 Remove the volume/power button! Draws immediately. This will help align the protective film with my "duct tape" technique. Once you have everything lined up the way you want it, remove the backing and let it sit in place. This is not possible with the handle mounted. As far as I can tell, the install went fine, just the usual bubbles that have to be pressed to the edges to deflate. I don't even notice the trapped large dust particles. Time will tell how it holds up to cold and heat. Also, I'm worried that it will cause more glare in the sun. Otherwise, screen sensitivity appears to be unchanged. Now it looks more like a tablet with smooth glass. As others have said, it looks good too! Installed on the new 2019 Honda CR-V EX-L.
