Smooth display presentation including seamless transitioning between zoom levels and more continuity across chart boundaries. Safety shading allows user to enable contour shading for all depth contours shallower than user-defined safe depth. Fishing charts to help scope out bottom contours and depth soundings with less visual clutter on the display. Choice of standard 2-D direct overhead or 3-D "over the bow" map perspective to make chart reading and orientation easier. Also compatible with Garmin's HomePort trip-planning software.

SD card failed in less than a week

The microSD card failed as soon as we arrived in Mexico. Of course we are in an area where Garmin products are not available or supported. Luckily we have spare paper cards.

This card offers good coverage and is good value for money.

Should have additional charts for most chartplotters. Perfect coverage for my location and planned trips. Got a good price compared to the usual outrageously high prices.

Deprecated and inaccurate

The product uses outdated and inaccurate data. Marina and also kept us well ashore as we pulled into port. There is data that Raymarine of another cruiser is relevant. I have returned the item, will rely on paper cards until there is an update.

Misleading advertising

As this ad is written, believe you are receiving the "VISION" version of the Blue Chart g2. However, you will only receive the basic version of Blue Chart g2, you will NOT receive VUS021R, Blue Chart g2 Vision. Be very careful when ordering this product as advertising may be construed as fraudulent and inaccurate. The VISION version costs between $200 and $200.

Outdated and inaccurate

The product uses outdated and inaccurate data. We made it to Ensenada, it shows no current buoys, breakwaters or jetties and we landed well and entered the port. There is data that Raymarine of another cruiser is relevant. I have returned the item, will rely on paper cards until there is an update.
