I chose this cheap controller based on the many positive reviews on Amazon. I installed it about two weeks ago and it seems to be working fine. The instructions are clear and well written. I use a 12 volt 100 watt panel to charge two series connected 6 volt golf cart batteries connected to an older 2000 watt heart rate inverter at my remote workshop. I haven't tried all the functions yet because the factory settings are still fine for me. It seems easy to use and program. The display is much more informative than a simple backlight like some other controllers. I haven't used the 12v load/timer section but I could see it being a good option to use in the future. The terminal block feels a bit flimsy for attaching 8 or 10 gauge wires to it, and a little care is needed to tighten the screw terminals without damaging the terminal block. I would also recommend securing all incoming wires with some sort of clamp to take the pressure off the terminal block. To be fair, for a controller that only costs around $30, you should expect a few weak spots. I am very happy with this device!
