I bought this to use in the car to keep my 90 year old mum warm when she took her for walks. Due to Covid 19 I can only go for a walk with my mother. We go to state parks or local metro parks and have lunch. Mom complains her food isn't hot and it was excellent, too good to keep her food warm until we got to our destination. I chose this particular model because it was larger than most other heated lunch boxes. It easily fits 2 square plastic containers the size of 8 square cake pans. (Each container is 2 1/2" to 3" tall. 5-6 total.) So being able to put my lunch in the bag is nice. Seems safe with foil or paper wrapped food or with cardboard or plastic food containers BUT DO NOT USE styrofoam! The heating element gets very hot and melts the foam. (My bag is forever smelling like mom's fried shrimp now. The bag is easy to clean once you've melted Styrofoam.) I washed one of the 8x8 plastic tote bags and placed it upside down in the lunch box to seal an air pocket between the heating pad create and carry the styrofoam containers. There's no room for my food, but my mom's food stays hot and doesn't melt. Overall I am satisfied with this bag. I probably would never have bought it if it wasn't for Covid. I see it would be great if it was great for work or for taking this hot dish to a family member or church.
