This is a large, simple to use but HEAVY cooler. I like that I can get it cold first by plugging it into a standard outlet and then have it cold or plugged into my van for the long ride. I took this on a trip recently and had it full of water and sandwiches and it kept my food and drinks nice and cold. When I got to the hotel, I plugged it in and it worked really good. It’s definitely great for road trips or long drives.However, this thing is very heavy. You will not be rolling this around to the beach or camp with it full of food and beverages. It’s just too heavy. The handle is too short and not comfortable while rolling. Im pretty strong but it was not easy to roll especially when the wheels would keep locking on me when rolling at the wrong incline.The side handles also could also have been designed better. Once it gets heavy the side handles hurt when carrying. It needs to be more rounded and the grip is wrong for comfortable lifting. When it is empty it’s not an issue but when it is full and packed it hurts.This is the only plug in cooler I have so I don’t know if others are similar. The only things I didn’t like was the handle designs. It’s super quiet though. Other than that this thing cools and keeps things frozen very well. Next time I’ll make sure to just pack it with less stuff and then carry it to the car pre chilled and then fill it up on the long ride.
