Review on Simple Modern Cruiser Tumbler Closing: Unmatched Beverage Insulation and Easy-Sip Lid by Ricky Cruise

I had a Simple Modern glass that I loved and used every day for about six months. A rough coating began to form under the lid's rubber seal (and I didn't want to risk removing it and not being able to put it back in) and after a quick search it turned out that the lid itself wasn't available to buy. It was an old lid that didn't have a hinged lid, just a spout. I took this as an excuse to buy a larger model. I love the look of the jar but the lid leaks like crazy. I don't know, maybe I just got a bad one, but every sip I take leaves my chin covered in coffee unless I put my mouth to the seal between the lid and the rim of the glass. The lid's flap also gets covered in coffee every time I close the lid - it was just poorly designed, the lip is too big so your drink doesn't flow all the way back into the cup after a sip. Of course, two straws per set would have avoided both of those problems, but I don't really like drinking through a straw, so I guess I was just unlucky. Overall I am very disappointed in this mug after loving my old SM. one so much.
