Review on 🎹 Casio 10273059 Authentic OEM Replacement by Chris Sharma

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Half of the belt is not installed.

This strap appears to match the Casio factory part number but there is a difference in the small identification numbers stamped on each part of the strap. My old strap: 740 FB3 16 >PUR< They are near the outer end of the strap from top to bottom. New "replacement" tape: 740 GD4 16 >PUR< Only the number 16 is relevant, which corresponds to the width of the connection fitting - 16 mm. I've been looking for explanations for these numbers but can't find any information. I know these bands are notoriously difficult to install and I have all the spring bar compression tools, thin flat blade screwdrivers and I've even tried using a magnifying glass to align the spring bar pin. To test my technique I have been able to repeatedly reattach the short half of the buckle strap but I am unable to reattach the new short strap. It looks like the hole for the spring bar at the end of the strap is misaligned because when I push on the bar to align it it seems bent. The spring bar works well without a strap and I can easily fit it into the watch (without a strap). I was able to mount the long end of the strap without much difficulty, which is average for this watch strap. I suspect the short strap just isn't to exact specifications - the hole isn't aligned with the axis that aligns with the pin holes in the watch case. My G-Shock AWG M100B watch is 9-10 years old.
